"I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list." We met on October 1st 2007 and have been together ever since. Now, several years later, we are both in our mid-twenties and have fairly established successful careers. But, something has always been missing. We both dream for something bigger; we dream to see the world. I (Kelly- designated writer of this site) have always had an itch to travel. It’s been a life-long aspiration to learn as much as I can about different cultures around the globe. Derek (designated photographer for this site) has a love of photography and exploring. He wants to step out of his comfort zone to photograph and experience scenery, people, and situations you just can’t find in the South Loop of downtown Chicago where we live. We leave for a 5½ month-long tour around South America on January 7th, 2012 and I suspect this “career break” will only be the beginning of our adventures. We want to share our thoughts and experiences with you along the way.
